Family Vacation

Well our family has taken a long overdue family vacation this last weekend. We had not taken a family vacation since before lil man was born. Needless to say we needed a getaway. Since we are expecting Lo in November I am saving up all my vacation time so we just did a weekend trip. It was a lot of fun and did a bunch of different things. Here are some pictures of the trip.

Here are the kids on the way out of town.
We drove by the Speedway and noticed cars going into the tunnel for the infield. So, of course my hubby decided to find out what was going on. We found out there was a driving school going on and if we signed a waiver we could go in and see what was going on. Since one of lil man's favorite movies is Cars, he was very excited. I think he would've stayed there all day. There was a red car so of course that was Lightning.

After the speedway we went to the Schlitterbahn waterpark. It was a lot of fun.

That night we went to Legends an outdoor mall. In the parking lot it had a Titanic exhibit. It was very neat to go through and see some things from the ship. They also gave everyone a boarding pass of a real passenger and at the end you could see if you lived or died. Our middle child was sad because lil man and herself didn't make it, while big sis and I lived.

On Sunday we went to Crown Center for lunch at Fritz's which is where your food is brought to you by train. The kids thought that was pretty cool.

At the Crown Center there was an exhibit of Lego sculptures. They were amazing. Everything from people, to Monopoly game, to huge sunflowers. It was crazy that they were made all from Legos. Very impressive.

We ended the day at Science City. A fun place where you can try hands on experiments. Here the family is climbing in the kiddie area. They had everything from digging up fossils, riding a bike on a tightrope, checking your balance, reaction time and so much more.

Since we had so much fun this is how the trip ended.......

We all had a great time and hopefully it won't be so long before we have another family vacation. I will post more pics on our photo site and let you know when they are up for those interested.

Locks of Love

Our youngest daughter this summer decided to cut her hair. She has been growing her hair out for the past few years. When she decided to cut it she decided she wanted to donate it to Locks of Love. We thought it was a great idea. Here are a few pictures.

Here she is in May w/her long hair.

Here she is w/her ponytail to donate.

Her beautiful, short hair.

Baby Lo Update

Well, I am 24 weeks already. It seems like it has gone by so fast, and I have a feeling that November will be here before we know it. Everything is still going well. I have my next dr appt next week for my monthly check up. We had our sonogram several weeks back but they weren't able to get a good picture of the spine. So yesterday we went back for more pictures. We were excited to see our lil one again. We are thinking they probably got a couple of good pictures of the spine this time. Although Lo at first was snug not wanting to move and his/her spine wasn't in a position to get a good look. Towards the end though he/she finally started moving so they were able to get a couple. It was neat they were able to take some 4d pictures of our lil one. We both think Lo looks like lil man did on his sonogram. Lo's hb was 146 which seems pretty consistent for him/her. Here are some updated pics.

24 weeks.
Lil Man thought he needed in the pic too, don't mind his bedhead.

Here is one of the 4d pics of Lo.

New CD

Our oldest daughter has been blessed with a beautiful voice. Last year for her birthday her great grandad and her memaw gave her money to record a cd. She recorded 2 songs w/her great grandad and then 4 on her own. She had a blast. So, this year for her sweet 16 we asked what she wanted for her bday. She wanted money to go and record another cd. The family was more than happy to give her money so she could record another cd. So over the last couple of months she has been writing her songs getting ready for the recording. Not only has she been blessed with a beautiful voice but also the talent of writing songs. A couple of weeks ago she was ready to go to the recording studio and record another cd. Her great grandad was more than happy to go with her and share in the experience. After a full day of recording she came home with a great cd. We are so excited to see what God has in store for her and her talents that he has so richly blessed her with. Her are a few pictures that her great grandad took while they were there.
Getting ready to start recording.

After it was all done.
