Cute Saying

Last night the kids were getting ready for bed telling us goodnight. Our youngest daughter told our lil man goodnight and she loved him. His remark: "I love you much, I love you more, I love you too much!"

Don't kids just say the cutest things!!

Preschool?!

It is hard for me to believe that it is time for us to start thinking about preschool for our lil man. Where does the time go? I know he will be 3 in June but it is just crazy to me that he will be starting school in September. Today we went and toured the preschool that my nephews have gone to and even my sister and I attended way back when. It was very neat to see the different age groups and what their classrooms were like. Lil man had fun seeing it all too. At first he was very timid and wasn't too sure about it all. Then towards the end we went down to the gym and saw some of the kids having play time. That was right up his alley. He wanted to stay a while longer he kept telling me.

The funniest thing though was after the tour we went for ice cream. I said to Lil man, "wasn't that fun." He said, "No. It wasn't" His face was hilarious. My hubby and I started laughing. Then I said, "Well didn't they look like they were having fun?" He said "No." I started thinking oh great having him go with us on the tour is going to backfire on us. Well, by the time we got to my mom's to pick up the kids he told her that he had fun. So, hopefully by the time Sept comes around he will be excited.

An update on our lil guy that is overdue. At his 2 mo checkup he weighed 12.8lbs and was 23.5" long. He is the same length his brother was but weighs a lil less. Other than that he is doing well growing and changing fast. He has started smiling more and laughing which is fun.

That's all for now! Have a great week!

Parties galore

Well, I am a lil past due in this post but finally had a minute to catch my breath. We had our youngest daughter's birthday last Friday night. Let me tell you I am the reason party planners have a job. Well not me exactly because I am too cheap to pay for a party planner and I have my Mom. Anyways we had our daughter's bday at our house last Friday night. We were just keeping it simple and having a slumber party at our house. I was telling my mom what I had planned and she came to my rescue. In about an hour she turned the basement into a great party room. She added streamers, balloons, curly ribbon, a birthday sign and hung the backdrop for all the pictures that we were going to take. My hubby laughed at me when he came home and she was busy working her magic. I told him I just don't have that party decorating trait that she does. She made it great and our daughter loved it.

For her slumber party she had 10 friends. They dressed up in my old prom dresses and some of our oldest's dresses. We took pictures and they had fun dressing up. They played games and were on facebook :) Who would have thought being on facebook at a party would be so much fun, haha. The girls were great and the drama was low! Huge plus for us parents. Instead of cake we did "cold stone" creations. At our wedding we had received a cold stone ice cream kit and never used it. So, we decided to break it out and mix up some sundaes. We had brownies, cookie dough, chocolate chips, m & m's, sprinkles, hot fudge and caramel. My hubby had fun mixing them and they were yummy! Overall it was a great party and our youngest daughter is now 12! Where does the time go?!

We had a fun week of birthdays, celebrating our daughter's, my father in law's and one of our nephew's. It makes for a busy week but a fun one. I will try and post pics soon.

Tummy running out.

"I need to eat something because my tumming is running out." Our lil man told us this on the way home today. I thought that was just too cute not to share. So, if you are ever watching him and he tells you his tummy is running out you will know he is hungry :)

Don't you just love what kids come up with on their own!
