What a last few days it has been for us. First I want to say Happy belated birthday to my wonderful hubby and Happy birthday to our oldest, beautiful daughter! I am now the mother of a 17, 12, almost 3 and almost 6 mo old. Lets just say it keeps me on my toes! This is one of my favorite pictures of my hubby and daughter. It was taken when we were on vacation last summer in KC.
Our youngest daughter had her awards assembly on Friday. She made another 9 weeks of Principal's honor roll and had perfect attendance this 9 weeks too. We are so proud of all of her accomplishments and hard work.
This weekend was a busy one. My hubby teaches the 5th and 6th graders at church, so this weekend we had a devo at one of the member's homes. It was a beautiful night where we could be outside and enjoy God's beautiful creation. We roasted hot dogs, and smores which makes for a great time! The kids had a great time fellowshiping with one another outside of class. I have to say that the 3 men in charge of the class, Loft 252, have done a great job with making the kids dig deeper.
As I mentioned it was bday weekend in our household. So, on Sunday night we were going to have my hubby's side over for bday festivities. My hubby goes to Sam's that afternoon to pick up what we needed for dinner. I was at home getting the house ready when my hubby calls and says, "you are never going to believe what just happened?!"..................."The power just went out at Sam's and they can't check anyone out!" Are you kidding me?!! It was a beautiful, clear, sunny day and Sam's loses power?! I couldn't believe it. So, I tell my hubby don't worry about it we will just do pizza (you got to love Lil Caesars $5 Hot and Ready pizzas). He said there were carts full of groceries left all over the place. I was glad that my hubby was in a good mood and just getting stuff for the party and not stuff we needed or it would not have been good.
Then my hubby gets home and tells me that is phone wasn't working, but someone wants to show our house at 530p! So, now we had to call my wonderful sis in law and ask if we could have the party at their house and do a mad dash of making sure the house was ready to show.
The party celebration went off great. The bday guys had a good time and everything worked out just fine. Kind of a crazy Sun afternoon for us. So, hopefully the showing went great and we can get a contract on our house. Then we just need to find a house before we are homeless :)
Hope everyone is having a great week!!
