4 mos already?!

Well our lil guy is already 4 mos! It seems like he was born just yesterday. It is crazy how time flies but I guess it really goes fast when you have 4 kids and no time to slow down. Since lil guy was born at the end of Oct the months have flown by w/Thanksgiving then Christmas then our youngest daughter's bday. Before I knew it Feb was here and our lil guy was 4 mos.

At his check up today he weighed in at 15.2 lbs and 25" long. In the 50th percentile for both weight and height. As the dr said he is just your average healthy baby boy. He was a trooper and got 3 shots. He definitely let the nurse know he was not happy about it.

Our lil guy is growing and changing fast. He has found his feet and his voice. This morning he was just laying in his cradle talking and laughing to himself. It is fun to watch him change. He is pretty selective on who can hold him though and will let you know if you have not made "the list", haha. I'm hoping he will get more comfortable w/all the family.

Well that is an update for now on our lil guy. We are off to our oldest's concert tonight, we just never stop going :)

Sweet Surprise!

Well, since my last post I have been in a funk as my hubby likes to call it. I just get down and start stressing about different things, finances, house and all that jazz. Yesterday was one of those days. My hubby called me and after a short conversation told me I needed to get out of my funk. It was at that time when I started talking to God. I told him that I really needed one of my best friends here to help get me out of the funk. Well, not 2 seconds later my dear friend from down south messaged me on Facebook! God is GREAT!! So, I started "talking" to her and she asked if I wanted her to get me out of the funk. I said yes please. So she told me to call her. So, I immediately called her to find out how she could get me out of the funk. She said are you ready? I said yes please tell me something. Her response.................."I'm flying you out to see me in May and we are driving to my family's house on the beach!" My response......."Are you serious?!"

She had been planning this since shortly after Christmas. She talked w/my hubby and got everything arranged for me to be able to go. She was wanting to wait and tell me later but could tell I really needed it now. I'm so excited and thankful for a wonderful friend and hubby who arranged it all. Now I have something to look forward to when my day gets off track.

It was pretty cute when my hubby told our daughters our youngest daughter is worried how they are going to make it w/o mom. That always makes mom feel good :) But I know that my hubby is more than capable of handling all 4 kids and if he had to he could always call for backup ;)

One of those weeks....

Have you ever just had one of those weeks? Well, let me tell you this week is mine. It seems I can't get anything done, I get in arguements w/my loved ones and nothing seems to go right. Case in point, as I mentioned I had a Tastefully Simple party a week ago. This week all the products came in. So, as I was going through the boxes I picked up the Bourbon Glaze bottle. In slow motion I see it slip out of my hands flip a couple of times before landing on the lid which shoots across the room while half the bottle spills onto my floor. Yeah it was great. Right before I am trying to get out the door for church I get to clean up the glaze which smells great but isn't meant to marinate the floor! Of course it wasn't something I had ordered also so now the person who did order it has to wait a few more days to enjoy her wonderful Bourbon Glaze.

Then last night we are at my daughter's musical and during intermission someone bumps the fire alarm so we all have to evacuate the building and stand outside in the cold until the firemen arrive to assure us there is no fire and we can go back in. Well, on our way back in my hubby notices that on our Nikon D70 we have no lens cap. Great! One more thing to add to my wonderful week. I was sure it must have been bumped off while we were outside. As we all get situated in our seats the wonderful woman in front of us asks my SIL if the lens cap was hers she found it under her seat! YAY!! I think my week is looking up :)

So, if you are having one of those weeks just wait someone will find your lens cap under their seat and it will start looking up again!! Have a great weekend!

Look what I did at work today!

Today our lil man had a special treat at work. Our shop foreman raises sheep and today brought one of his newborn lambs with him to work. The lamb was born on Valentine's day and wasn't eating well. So, our shop foreman brought him to work to bottle feed him and keep an eye on him. Lil man was fascinated w/him and even got to help feed him. Here are some pictures.

So cute!

My new favorite....

Tastefully Simple!!! One of my friends just became a consultant for Tastefully Simple. So on Tues night I hosted a party for her. Some of my friends had had parties but I hadn't been able to go so this was my 1st experience with it. I had to prepare a few of the mixes beforehand but it was all really simple! Let me tell you although I would love to cook, I don't do it. If it is too hard or has too many ingredients I just don't have the patience or confidence in cooking it. So, when I heard about these mixes I figured I could do this. We got to try many different mixes, sauces, cookies, and the biggest hit of the night Bountiful Beer Bread. It was a lot of fun and really yummy food. My favorite of the night was the Artichoke, Spinach Warm Dip. It was AWESOME! All of the mixes only take a few ingredients to add. For example the Artichoke Spinach dip all I had to add was Cream Cheese and Shredded Swiss Cheese. Mix it up, warm it up and you are good to go. The other mixes took mayo and sour cream and were good to go. So, if you are looking for gourmet tasting food but w/o the gourmet cooking try one of the mixes. If you are interested in having a party let me know and I can get you in touch w/my friend. (I don't get anything for posting this I just wanted to share.)

Not a nice word....

Last night at dinner our lil man was calling his sister stupid. My hubby explained to him that was not a nice word. He suggested he say something like "You are a good sister." "You are a good basketball player" things like that.

Lil man's response: "You are good stupid."

After my hubby regained his composure he had to explain to lil man that just by adding good to a not nice word does not make it nice.

So just remember by adding good to stupid does not make it ok :)

You gotta love kids!!
